Privacy
What you tell My Boudoir Life is the most private thing you will tell any website. Here is exactly what we keep, who can see it, and what we will never do with it — written to be read, not scrolled past.
What We Keep
Your name, the address we write to you at, the day you were born (so we know you are an adult, and so your age can be shown as a number), your postcode (so near you means near you — never your street), and what you make in the Atelier: what you want, how you like to be loved, the notes you tick, the words you write, and a photograph if you choose to give one. Every message you send and receive here. The day you joined and the day your membership runs to.
Who Can See It
Your Portrait is seen only by signed-in members. Your photograph is kept outside the public part of this website altogether and is handed only to a signed-in member — a stranger with the link gets nothing. Your birth date is never shown to anybody; your age is shown as a number. Your postcode is never shown; only how far somebody is from you. Your messages are read by the person you sent them to and by nobody else. Nobody on our side reads them unless you write to us and ask us to.
What We Will Never Do
We will never sell your information, share it with another business, or use it to advertise anything to you. We will never tell anybody — including somebody who says they are your partner, your family or your employer — whether you have an account here. If a stranger asks this website whether an address belongs to a member, it answers exactly the same way whether it does or not.
Discretion Is The Point
Some people here are not free to be found. So every letter we send you says as little as possible on the outside — a sender name and a subject line that give nothing away on a locked screen. You choose what your Portrait shows, and you can change or remove any of it, including your photograph, at any time from My Boudoir.
Who Else Touches It
Three companies help us run this, and each sees only what its job needs. Stripe takes your card and keeps it — we never see your card number. Postmark carries our letters to you. Mapbox draws the map, and is given only a suburb, never a person. None of them is given your Portrait, your messages or your photograph.
What Is Yours
All of it. You can see everything we hold about you, correct any of it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it — write to boudoir@myboudoir.life and it is done within seven days, with a letter to say so. Under Australian privacy law these are your rights; here they are simply how it works.
How Long We Keep It
While you are a member, and for six months after your membership ends, in case you come back. After that your Portrait, your photograph and your messages are deleted. Payment records are kept for the seven years Australian tax law requires, and hold nothing of your Portrait.
Cookies
One, to keep you signed in. No tracking, no advertising, nobody else’s.
If Something Goes Wrong
If we ever believe your information has reached somebody it should not have, we will tell you plainly and quickly, and we will tell the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law asks us to.
Questions about any of this are welcome at boudoir@myboudoir.life. Our ABN is in your account and on every receipt.
